The Next Big Collapse: USA Disintegration

All the people in America are dependant on news channels to get the feeling of security. The news channels report that the trade deficit is coming down, jobs data has shown a decline in the rate of it’s fall.

Economists are feeling better, and the health of the economy is slowly turning around. My argumement has always been very standard. If the macro situation is out of control nothing is in order.

The last time big banks went under rating agencies downgraded companies overnight. What they had been doing for years was never questioned. Why should people have questioned? You just accepted what you were told.

That was lesson no. 1, what problems have been solved since the collapse of the US? As far as I am concerned none what so ever. The borrowing of the United States has not gone down. As a percentage the rate of borrowing may have changed but the absolute number has done nothing but increase. So I ask again what is so good, and what is supposed to make it better from here?

Most of the earnings in corporate America was always concentrated around exports of services around the world. Consultancy, financial services and export of arms and ammunition. The world has changed now, they hardly require American consultants to tell them what to do, they have fallen from grace after the collapse.

People are also fed up with the financial sector and the excesses of debt. Again, America has been the culprit and now what is happening in Europe is not helping the avocation of debt as a constructive instrument. With ageing populations and heavy medical bills to pay in the future, people are beginning to ask questions. Why should they have to pay for what the earlier people have borrowed and enjoyed. They no longer believe in carrying the sack.

The arms race is slowly coming to an end. Who is the real enemy?

What I see very clearly happening in America is what is currently happening in Europe. Many European countries are distancing themselves from each other and laying the blame on the other. Imagine if Europe was one country, and each country was a province. Does that not show you the face of America.

Each state is as big as a small country in Europe and most are not subscribing to the view why they should bail out the defaulters. Why should the good states pay for the misdeeds and greed of the wild bunch.

It is not hard to imagine when the good states will begin to distance themselves and their performance from those of the wild debt accumilators. Americans are not people from the third world. They can and do question and expect answers.

The process has begun, the revenues from exports are not coming in as fast as they used to. Local jobs are not being created, and industry is not growing. Neither is the debt coming down. It needs to be servicesd, it has to be paid back. The world is not welcoming lending to the US of A any longer. Where does that leave the repayment capacity.

You cannot continue to borrow to repay old debt. The world won’t allow it anymore, that model has long failed.

Do not let the news, media and experts fool you for one minute. Do the math yourself and position yourself in a state which is self sustaining. Sooner or later the provinces will begin to break up and fight. You do not want to be left at the mercy of the federal Government who has brought this upon her citizens.

The wise shall position themselves into regions which are rich in agriculture to afford their food. The rest who rely on services to provide their incomes will only have themselves to balme.

Many may wonder if I am talking about 2050. I may not be wrong in the year 2015.

Gypsy on the Move

Humayun Gauhar

Sajay to kaisay sajay qatl-e-aam ka mela? Kaisay labhai ga maray lahoo ka wa waila? Mairay nazaar badan mein lahoo hee kitna hai?

“How to adorn this festival of death?” asked Faiz. “When will it reach the brim and end blood’s cries? How much blood is there in my emaciated body, after all?”

All over Pakistan a suicidal dance of death is being played out as our multifarious meltdowns inexorably move us towards the final denouement. That meltdown has become a worldwide pandemic is of little consolation to us. When the Leviathan falls, the whole world gets crushed.

Karachi is in flames. A turf war over protection rackets between political Mafiosi is destroying the essential fabric of the country, its very raison d’etre. There’s more to it: the protection mafias took to sheep’s clothing and became political parties long ago. Their fight is for political control of Pakistan’s economic heartland. Their dance in the desert is akin to the dance of a scorpion with sunstroke stinging itself to death. What seems a ‘dance’ are actually death throes. Elsewhere in the festival a snake is swallowing its tail.

So far more than 1,500 people have been killed in Karachi alone, many thousands more everywhere else. While American bombs regularly spill our blood we shamelessly and surreptitiously help them, like the quislings Clive used. What else starkly exposes our total loss of shame, of self-esteem and self-respect? Sure terrorists are our enemies too, but don’t let Robert Clive in once again to do your dirty work in return for you doing his dirty work. Else you will be enslaved again. Actually, we already are in America’s bondage, so piteously dependent on the scraps it throws our way. Yes, after a great embarrassment our army is seemingly struggling to break the bonds, but I will celebrate only after the last link is broken.

Karachi has been in turmoil for years, but this time it could be fatal. Street dogs are saying, “Run from Karachi or you will die a human’s death.” Don’t feign innocent surprise. You should have known. You are so in thrall of political wolves that you let them in through your door. Weren’t you aware that they would gobble you up one day? That day has arrived. This alien and corruption-engendering political system in democracy’s garb doesn’t deliver democracy at all. It delivers big bad wolves. So don’t wail. You asked for it, you got it. You had it coming. Weren’t you pathetically lamenting on television the other day – “Bring Musharraf back. We want someone like him. We want army rule for 20 years.” Have a heart. Is there no shame? It’s taken you only three years to come full circle again? Why don’t you decide what you want? Don’t swing between two dispensations, neither of which can deliver. The very integrity of the State is now at stake. Use your minds. Think, for God’s sake, think.

Our land is often parched by drought, but our earth is perennially saturated with human blood. Blood-watered earth we share with Mesopotamia too, modern day Iraq. There are killings galore in Karachi. The land of the proud Pushtoon is awash. We are drowning in our own blood spilled by our own hand, for the buck stops with us. A spark has fallen into India dry tinderbox of inequity: evoking images of Gandhi – the Mahatma, not a Nehru – a 74-year old retired army driver’s protest by hunger strike against rampant corruption has ignited that vast country from end to end. That’s just for starters. When protests against hunger and poverty start, as one day they must in South Asia, the lumpen proletariat will emerge from their urban rat holes and the rural proletariat will head for the cities armed with staves and stones, what will the bourgeoisie do, what the ruling elite? It will be a wonder to behold, hopefully deliverance too. We’ve waited for it for millennia.

From what is known, blood spilling started here with the Aryan invasions of pre-history. They continued with invasion-after-invasion through the Khyber Pass, that ‘Gorge of Blood’. It continued under occupying invaders. Only the Europeans came by sea. Britain prevailed with help from warring natives and occupied this land of sorrows. The bloodbath continued. Came Partition, came the deluge. Came the biggest bloodbath in modern history. Man fell upon man, neighbour upon neighbour, raping, killing, maiming, all because of religion exploited by politicians for economic-political advantage. To make Jinnah’s ‘hostage theory’ irrelevant, Nehru wanted no Hindus left in Pakistan. A two-way migration of some 10 million people took place, the largest in human history, all in a few months, leaving India with millions of hostage Muslims but Pakistan with few hostage Hindus. The amount of blood spilled is incalculable. It continues throughout South Asia to this day, all ignited by petty issues – clinging to power or to gain it, religion, ethnicity, or language… A rare pause in bloodletting is an aberration. Those with vested interests exploit man’s prejudices for gain. When it is all over and the history of the human race comes to be written, it will be determined that ‘politics bloody politics’ was the most damaging factor.

The latest bloodletting in Karachi started when a Sindh provincial minister – a nobody really meant for the trashcan of history – made a racist speech against “Mohajirs that speak Urdu” who came to Pakistan after Partition. Ironically, his diatribe was in Urdu. He called them “ingrates” for they “came hungry-naked” – barefoot and empty handed – and the native Sindhi welcomed them. No doubt they did, for Sindhis are good people, not to be lumped with this politician and his ilk. (So did the Punjabis welcome migrants, but without bellyaching). The hosts were actually doing themselves the greater favour, for they were following in the footsteps of the people of Medina where the Prophet (pbuh) and his followers migrated from Mecca to escape persecution. They were called Muhajiroon or migrants; the people of Medina were called Ansar or ‘Helpers’. Hijrat, migration, is a great tradition of Islam, so great that the Islamic calendar begins from there. And being a Helper is great too. Sadly, today’s politicians everywhere are ill educated, without a sense of history. I suppose one has to be to qualify for politics. Forgive the minister for he knew not what he was saying.

Karachi exploded. Flames are dancing there, being enlarged with flame’s fuel – more blood. The music comes from a political orchestra, the singing by politicians spewing nauseous words – “seventy percent of the killings are because of love affairs” one croons! Better that, if you can. We are sickened by their ‘power-sharing’ deals, their sit ins over less relevant issues because they are too old to march, a paralyzed parliament held captive by party dons, a newly ‘independent’ judiciary exercised not by issues of moment but with Atiqa Odho’s bottles, postings and transfers in the executive. And so it will go on until one spark lights the tinderbox and the pomp, panoply and paraphernalia of the powerful goes up in flames too.

Brings to mind Nazir Akbarabadi’s Sub thaath para reh javay ga jub laad chalay ga banjara. ‘Banjara’ means gypsy, the Grim Reaper symbolizing the angel of death.

“All pomp and panoply will be left behind as the Grim Reaper loads you on his shoulder and moves on.”

Mustaqbil Pakistan: A New Political Force Winning Hearts on the Internet

Politics is not a bad word, unfortunately in Pakistan it’s not a good word. The world may look up to their politicians to lead the way to prosperity. People throng in numbers just to elect the Government in the hope that they would do just. They vote so that they can be a proud nation.

[cincopa AAAATkKThZuc]

Pakistan does not boast of any such luxury. You do not need any army to lead the country to self sufficiency and prosperity, a handful of just 1500 men and women is all it takes. One wonders out of 180 million people, Pakistan has so far been unable to succeed in bringing out the best 1500 of them at the same time.

One such initiative has been taken on by a simple man, a learned man and a professional. Nadeem Qureshi has taken the task of launching a Political Party in Pakistan known as “Mustaqbil Pakistan”. He states that his task is to bring into Pakistani politics people of competence, integrity and honor. That these people exist is not in doubt.  But until now they have demurred from entering Pakistani politics. This is a luxury they can no longer afford.

Strong words to say the least, but looking at the reality faced by the common man in Pakistan these words say the untold truth. He openly states “that we are not politicians, and in normal times, we would have no inclination to be involved in politics. But these are not normal times. Pakistan today confronts existential challenges”.

Mustaqbil Pakistan is a new political party whose primary objective is to bring about a fundamental change in the way politics is conducted in Pakistan. “We believe that in the absence of such change Pakistan will not survive” the Chairman states with conviction.

Mustaqbil Pakistan was launched as a party with an online presence. With a simple website and advertised with Google. It attracted the educated class of Pakistan at snails pace. With careful planning and implementation that numbers explosion started taking off in the last few months. Skeptics came and went and choose to ignore the depth with which the whole concept was studied and implemented. It was not without strategy that the Party Chairman is so confident about the future success which is already showing signs in the numbers who have suddenly come on the platform.

Although much credit belongs to the internet and social media websites, it is the understanding of tools which has brought much success in reaching out. Again skeptics were quick to use familiar terms and phrases commonly used for out of favor political people, “drawing room politics and internet parties”. The fact remains skeptics allow intelligent people to constantly evaluate their own performances.

Just a simple website www.mustaqbilpakistan.pk and the whole world of the Party open up. Facebook allowed an explosion of 500 people joining everyday and every time I check, the numbers seem to be increasing showing the strength of the digital age. With over 16 thousand people showing interest, it is only about time that the phenomenon will catch on to the people who are sick and tired of the lies they have had to deal with.

Only time will prove the success of politics and the power of the internet. We have already witnessed the power shown in the Middle East by the tools so commonly used by you and me at home. Only the brave tend to sway towards unconventional methods, which may not be so unconventional when you look at their usefulness and reach.

From Egypt to Libya to Britain – the Police are the Enemies of Freedom and the Friends of Fascism

The fascists assembled at the Railway Tavern, a pub opposite Brighton station. There were police from Hampshire, Surrey and the Met., in addition to those from Sussex. We estimate that at least 1,000 police were deployed to ensure that less than 100 fascists were able to march through Brighton.

It was billed as a ‘family day out’ but there weren’t many families present. Mainly overweight pot-bellied men, with a few women for the sake of appearances. It was to celebrate St. George’s Day though they didn’t manage that either.

What was most noticeable, even to the most innocent and naïve, was the blatant police bias. Forget New Labour and its police protecting communities nonsense, here we saw the state in all its glory. Police turned a blind eye to racist and provocative chanting from the fascists, including anti-gay insults (despite the presence of a few token rainbow coloured banners – yes gays can also be fascists) but arrested mainly anti-fascists for the usual breaches of public order and what were deemed ‘offensive’ remarks directed towards the said fascists.

Indeed the police were remarkable in their consistent hostility to the anti-fascists who they regularly tried to kettle and confine. At one point the police were told to ‘face the enemy’ and immediately turned to look at us. When we pointed out that this confirmed everything we had been saying they excused themselves by saying it was merely an operational command – but it accurately reflected what happened on the day.

The only thing missing was the Zionist flag of Israel. Unsurprisingly there were no Zionist Jews amongst the counterdemonstrators, given the close working links between the Zionist Federation and the fascists nationally. There was however a good turnout from local Palestine solidarity activists, thus giving the lie to the accusation that anti-Semitism = anti-Zionism.

Anti-fascists must however draw some political conclusions from what happened. The first is that the SWP front, United Against Fascism, is incapable of leading or organising any serious anti-fascist response. Despite calling an open meeting a week ago, they ignored the agreement for a stewards group. Many anarchists confined themselves to ensuring the security of the local Cowley club, though to be fair there were many anarchists amongst the counter-demonstrators.
Marching through Brighton must have been a humiliating experience, even for the thickest bone-head. There was next to no support for the fascists and lots of abuse directed at them by people on the street, with special mention to customers who came out to shout from the local Burger King.

The main chant from the fascists was ‘It’s Our England’ which would be amusing but for its crass stupidity. None of these no hopers owns more than a tiny fragment, if that, of ‘our England’. The wealth of Britain is owned by a network of interconnected families and Directors, many of whom aren’t even domiciled in Britain. Instead the EDL are imbeciles for the ruling class and capitalists who do actually own England, the proto-SA of the future.

At a time of mass unemployment and recession the fascists chanted ‘get a job’ and ‘we pay your benefits’. Presumably they were unaware of small things like NHS cuts and bankers’ bonuses.

At the moment the EDL has next to no presence in Brighton and Hove. Most of their supporters were shipped in from places like Southampton with a banner from the Essex Infidels. Brighton, with its tolerant multi-cultural atmosphere and its large and openly gay community is not fertile ground for fascism.

However next year serious though needs to be given as to how to stop the march in its tracks. UAF are not interested in anything but token opposition and played a large part in boosting a home grown initiative last year. Serious anti-fascism is no longer the preserve of the SWP and what is needed is a united anti-fascist group comprising all political groups on the left, anarchists and independents, whose aim is to ensure that fascism does not have a free pass in Brighton.

A Sweet Victory – Ahava Driven Out of Covent Garden

It was little more than a year ago that Jews for Boycotting Israeli Goods launched a campaign of pickets against the Israel’s Ahava shop in London’s prestigious Covent Garden. After a fortnightly picket and much direct action Ahava’s landlords have had enough of complaints by Ahava’s neighbouring businesses.

Admittedly Ahava was a unique shop. Most businesses try to prevent theft, not least of their own stock. Ahava sold stolen goods! Because the Metropolitan Police refused to do their duty we had to step in.

During its short existence the pickets have revealed the true face of Zionism in Britain today. We had poor Jonathan Hoffman, recently suspended by the Zionist Federation which he chairs, making a complete fool of him when he wascaught on camera dancing down the street with the leader of the Jewish Division of the fascist English Defence League, Roberta Moore. The EDL was anexample of how anti-Semites through the ages have supported Zionism. Hapless Jonathan made matters even worse when he described the evidence as ‘photoshopped’ and had to make a grovelling apology to the photographer.

Then we had Ahava employing anti-Semites with one member staff openly stating that the Jews are responsible for the killing of Christ. Both Hoffie and Richard Millett defended the woman.
So let us celebrate this victory and Mad Hoffie for helping both galvaise the protestors and deterring people from shopping there.

Pakistan Violates International Norms of Vienna Convention by Arresting Murder Suspect

Call me biased when i demand justice. Two young Pakistani men have been shot to death, and the American Embassy is issuing statements for the release of the accused.

Mr. Davis, and no one really knows what he did at the embassy sometimes is a technician, sometimes becomes a security expert. In any case whatever post he held, he has the right to a fair trial. No more and no less.

When the Embassy states that he is a diplomat and commands immunity, it gives me reason to argue back a few of my own. I even overheard violation of International Norms of the Vienna Convention.

Call it a media blitz or the expertise with which the Americans handle murder, I for one am not buying a word of it. Mr. Davis a security man of the embassy, and no one gets this job without prior training in weapons and the use of such equipment.

How then did he not use upon that training to first shot in the air or on the lower part of the body. He went for the kill. For arguments sake, and i am not even taking the statements of people who claim the identity of those murdered as small shopkeepers, lets assume they were robbing Mr. Davis of the cash out of his ATM machine.

The ATM at best provides Rs. 50,000 which is approximately USD 610. Why didn’t he let them have it and claim insurance? I am sure $610 at most is not worth the price of life.

God forbid, had it been the other way around. God forbid, wouldn’t we be getting nuked in our backsides? Even an invasion of the whole of Pakistan by the US Special forces cannot be ruled out. The possibilities could be endless.

The situation now however is very different. I feared the story would change as the clock kept ticking. To date its just as i had thought. Let the story change some more. That too will not alter my mindset.

Coming back to the violation of the Vienna Convention, now I am surely a layman, but if you shall use that as an excuse may i ask what the hell Pakistan is being Droned for. Is that not a violation of the sovereignty of Pakistan and its people?

If Raymond Davis is innocent why are the Americans DEMANDING his release? I am sure the best lawyers in the world can be flown into Pakistan to fight his case. May the law decide the fate as opposed to trying to push us to releasing a man who has put down two men in cold blood.  Let there be justice and this innocent man released once the court issues such a verdict, without the Americans twisting arms and legs.

If i was working in the Pakistani Embassy and shot two muggers in New York City would i be going back to my office and having a nice cuppa?

Hillary Disgusted With Pakistan, I am Disgusted With Clinton

What I saw next made me horrified. A ticker running on all news channels on Hillary Clinton showing dissent on the reduction of fuel prices. Who is this lady again? What relevance does she have with policy matters of the Government of Pakistan? Since when has she been given the authority to tell GOP how much the cost of any given commodity is going to be delivered to her citizens?
